This year the Festival of the Regions, now in its second year, was hosted by the Piedmont region at the Turin capital from Saturday, Sept. 30 to Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The central theme of the event was infrastructure, from mobility to health care and innovation networks, with a focus on major events planned for the coming years and the role of territorial realities.
Promotional booths, from Italy's twenty regions and two autonomous provinces, were arranged to evoke the geographical shape of Italy, the boot, and allowed visitors to explore the historical and artistic treasures of each region.
The Distretto Turistico dei Laghi participated at the Piedmont booth on Saturday, September 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by distributing promotional material about the area, including the multilingual maps of the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi with listed the 34 main attractions in the area to visit and discover and the publication "Slow City: ecotourism among villages, culture and tractions" with listed the twelve villages of excellence on Lakes Maggiore, d'Orta and Mergozzo and in the Ossola Valleys.
