In September of 2019, walking along the cobblestone streets of the small village of Coimo, Nicoletta and Michael noticed the house they had fallen in love with a few years ago was finally up for sale. Within a couple of weeks they had become the new owners. The house was originally constructed in the 1600’s and was the property of a family of Coimo, who like many others in the valley, had emigrated to France and Holland where they had made their fortune as goldsmiths. It was typical for these emigrees to return to their home villages and build beautiful houses …and such was the case for the Zanoletti family. Unfortunately, with the passage of time, the house passed from owner to owner and by 2019 it had been abandoned for decades and had fallen into disrepair. Two years of reconstruction and renovation having now passed, years filled with passion, hard work and fierce determination, we are finally able to spring open the doors of the Dimora degli Archi, the Venue of the Arches, to welcome those passionate of history, art and good company.
Our Bed and Breakfast has three rooms, two with queen bed and one with two singles, each with a private en suite bathroom. Each bedroom has Satellite TV, Internet, hair dryers and other services. All offer an elegant atmosphere from other times where one can relax in comfort.
A typical Italian breakfast is served at a communal table, where the diners may easily make the acquaintance of other guests. It is not uncommon that the conversations are delightfully drawn out, exchanging stories with others who love to share their travel experiences and local knowledge.
