Amidst the green mountains overlooking upper Lake Maggiore, we set off from the Wonderwood Adventure Park at Monte Carza di Trarego Viggiona, to undertake an easy ascent on foot, almost entirely on a dirt road, and reach a stupendous natural balcony at an altitude of 1116 metres, where the Big Bench of Lake Maggiore #138, the first big bench in the entire lake area, stands out. The typical "over-size" seat, belonging to the famous Piedmontese circuit "The Big Bench Project", stands out in an intense yellow before the marvellous blue scenery of the lake surrounded by the peaks of the Piedmont and Lombardy pre-alpine range. The road to the giant bench is practicable in all seasons in good weather, is suitable for everyone - from families to seniors, including pets - and can also be travelled on bikes.
The *Big Bench del Lago* of Trarego Viggiona is included in the "Big Bench Community Project" circuit which contributes to supporting local communities, tourism and the artisan excellence of the countries in which they are positioned. Today, there are over 360 official *Big Benches* of the Project, distributed throughout Europe.
