Exhibition of the history of the Gravellona people.
The archaeological exhibition "Memories of the past - The settlement and necropolis of Pedemonte in Gravellona Toce" is dedicated to the excavations carried out by Felice Pattaroni in the Pedemonte area between 1954 and 1959, which led to the discovery of the Gallo-Roman necropolis (5th century B.C. - 5th century A.D.) and also brought to light the remains of the ancient settlement (1st century B.C. - 5th century A.D.).
It is housed within the Antiquarium Cittadino, formerly a museum showcasing the history of Gravellona until 1979.
To provide a detailed, albeit necessarily incomplete, picture of the ancient context (both the settlement and the ancient necropolis), the exhibition of finds is divided into five thematic sections:
- Manufacturing and artisan work
- Personal realm
- Cuisine and the table
- Commercial activity
- Necropolis
