Multi-purpose cultural centre: a “museum meant to be experienced, not just visited”
Since 1998, the Forum in Omegna (MUSEUM OF ARTS AND INDUSTRY) has housed a rich collection of household objects by companies that have made Italian and world history and were born in our area: Alessi, Calderoni, Girmi, Lagostina, La Nuova Faro, Irmel, Tracanzan and Piazza.
The permanent collection brings to life the history of industry from the 19th century to the present day: the products on display are accompanied by wall-mounted information on the history of the companies and the advertising campaigns that made history.
The photographs reveal previously unseen aspects of well-known personalities that people rarely have the chance to meet; for this reason, they are fascinating and bring visitors closer and involve them more deeply.
The exhibition system in the four rooms, spread over two floors, is a great communicative tool and a promotional showcase for companies. A "museum to be experienced," not just "visited": you can take a guided tour to touch, open, and dismantle the objects and discover them using all your senses.
