La Casa del Lago (The Lake House) is a museum and environmental education centre in Verbania.
It is a place to discover the Lake Maggiore area, where you can listen to stories, find ancient objects related to fishing and fish processing, and experience biology, natural sciences, and handicraft workshops.
Equipped with didactic rooms for schools of all levels, it offers the possibility of a virtual immersion in the lake's waters and of discovering the culture and traditions linked to professional fishing.
The convenient and easily accessible location near the lakeshore makes it possible to take environmental samples before the museum and analyse them, thanks to the laboratory's scientific equipment.
Casa del Lago proposes, by reservation, educational itineraries for groups, families, and schools, guided tours, excursions, and trekking to discover the area, as well as recreational and educational events.
The museum is accessible to all types of users.
