Museum of the musical wind instrument and the traditions of the communities of Quarna
The exhibits belong to the typical craftsmanship that developed in Quarna Sotto in the 19th century and employed most of the men in the village. Various wind instruments are on display, including saxophones, and many prototypes are used to study and design crucial mechanisms.
Attempts to make instruments with new characteristics and instruments made to order, both obsolete and of current manufacture, are on display. Workers use plenty of machinery and equipment to make metal and wooden instruments. All the stages in the production of a finished instrument are on display.
On the museum's lower floor, an ethnographic section reconstructs some typical rooms of rural and peasant houses: the kitchen, the bedroom, the loom, etc.
