DEPARTURE – “IL FIENILE”: Pian d’Arla (1307 above sea level) is located on the Cadorna Line, the fortification dating back to the First World War. Here, right next to the road, the departure station was built, a structure in stone and wood that replicates in every detail the traditional barns of the Intrasca Valley. According to tradition, the mountain barn collected the harvest of the most difficult meadows, where the slope forced to work in a difficult position holding on to a cable to mow with one hand the green and rare tufts of grass of the pasture. The barn was often connected to the overhanging wire mesh that carried the precious loads to the villages of the Intrasca Valley. Today that wire was transformed into the Fienile as the starting point of the Lago Maggiore Zipline. Entering, you have the feeling of being in a safe and quiet place, sheltered, where you can focus and get ready in the twilight. It is the moment before you dive into the light, the wind, the speed, and the emotion of the flight. The departure facility of the Lago Maggiore Zipline is also accessible to people with disabilities who need to move in a wheelchair.
ARRIVAL – “IL NIDO”: Alpe Segletta (960 m above sea level) is an inhabited alpine pasture equipped with hospitality facilities, second homes, and Alpine refuges. A network of paths starts from the Nido, allowing simple and pleasant walks suitable for children, and challenging paths for expert hikers, leading to high altitude through unique landscapes.
