From 29 June to 1 July, a meeting was held in the Lakes and Ossola Valleys area that brought together a number of national operators in the MICE sector.
For the occasion, the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi organised a three-day Fam Trip Mice, which gave to the sector's operators the opportunity to get to know the area more closely in order to promote it as a congress and event tourism destination.
The programme included site inspections at a number of conference hotels in the mid-lower Lake Maggiore and Ossola valleys, at prestigious luxury historic villas and resorts located on the eastern shore of Lake Orta. The programme also gave them the opportunity to discover the area by visiting evocative and emblematic places such as the visit to the splendid Baroque Palace and the Gardens of Isola Bella in the Borromeo Gulf.
Not only views, the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi tried to make them enjoy an experience that we could define Bleiseure (Business & Pleasure): with Wellness & Spa, Food & Wine and Vineyard Tours.
On Lake Maggiore, the operators were able to enjoy a moment of relaxation, with access to the brand new SPA of the Hotel Des Iles Borromées located in Stresa, with 3,000 square metres dedicated to wellness and body care, on Lake Mergozzo at Casa della Capra, they savoured a delicious risotto cooked during the cooking class, and finally, in the Ossola Valleys at Catina Garrone they were able to taste local wines such as Prunet, accompanied by a tour of the vineyards on the heights of Domodossola.
Among the various activities, we had also planned an outdoor experience with an easy Ebike ride from Ameno down to the beautiful village of Orta "Orange flag" and among "the most beautiful in Italy!" but due to bad weather, it was cancelled.
All in all, this Fam Trip was a success among the participants and above all the DTL received compliments for the wide and diverse reality visited as well as for the beauty of our lakes' territories.
