From Thursday 21 September to Saturday 23 September 2023, the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi attended the great WTE World Tourism Event in Turin - Stand Regione Piemonte, at the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano in Palazzo Carignano.
During the three days, the UNESCO World Heritage Sites present in the District were promoted, from the Sacri Monti of Domodossola, Ghiffa and Orta San Giulio to the Palafitticolo Site of the Lagoni di Mercurago Natural Park, from the MAB Ticino Val Grande Verbano Biosphere Reserve to the Sesia Val Grande Geopark included in the UNESCO World Geoparks network.
Hundreds of visitors registered at the Desk, with great interest in the cultural offer, Religious Itineraries, Devotional Routes and Outdoor activities of our wonderful territory between Lakes and Mountains.
On Thursday 21st September, the District team also took part in the B2B workshop organised by the Region and Visit Piedmont, meeting dozens of national and international operators mainly from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, as well as Australia and the USA.
On Friday 22nd September, a selection of buyers from Italy, France, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium were accompanied to discover the UNESCO treasures between Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore, and the Ossola Valleys.
