La Casermetta
La Casermetta Guest House comes to life thanks to the desire of a local family to welcome people from all over the world to Santa Maria Maggiore. The building is an historic Villa, built in the 1800s, used as military base for many years and recently renovated in respect to its historical value.
Located in Gennari Square, a few meters away from the town center, La Casermetta offers six welcoming and pleasant rooms, each furnished according to the creativity of one of our own, Luca. The rooms are very different in style, but they’re all double/twin rooms, three of which have a balcony. Two are the suites that also have an extra bed and a small living room. Included in all rooms are a Smart TV, Kettle, fresh water, mini fridge, hair dryer, and free Wi-Fi.
Normally you will find Barbara and Leonardo at your arrival, that will always be there to prepare breakfast (if requested) and to help in any way they can. Self check-in is available if the staff should be absent.
Inside the building you can take a look at local art and design pieces of different eras, have breakfast with local food, rent a bike, charge your electric vehicles in the free parking or simply relax in the backyard or the reading room and dive into one of the numerous books available.
La Casermetta has a “Plastic Free” policy in order to save the environment and commits to reduce its ecological footprint to a minimum.
