Press Tour "Isole di Luce - The Circle of Lights"

The Distretto Turistico dei Laghi (Lake Maggiore Tourism Board), on the occasion of the press conference on November 15th to present the event "Isole di Luce - The Circle of Lights", organized a press tour, in collaboration with the Agenzia di Comunicazione Mediatica Srl of Milan, for seven nationally renowned journalists (lifestyle, art and architecture, culture, travel magazines) to live the emotion of the artistic lighting of Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori. After the conference, a private boat cruise was organized for the journalists to admire the lighting and the artistic video mapping on the face of Palace Borromeo. These animations represent the “Flowers gathered in bouquets painted on stone”, some splendid still lifes – admirable in the third Chamber of the Isola Bella Palace, in the Throne Room, in the Queen’s Room and in some precious cabinets present along today’s visit route. The authors of these works are Giovanni Saglier (active assiduously in the Isola Bella Palace between 1670 and 1690) and other Lombard specialists, including Vincenzo Volò and his daughter Francesca Volò known as Vicenzina. The journalists were able to fully harmonize with the poetics that inspired the chromatic choice for the lighting of the two islands, born from the desire to tell the delicate nuances of sunlight over the course of a day. On Isola Bella, the lights evoke dawn, the rising of the sun, with a sweet flowering of warm tones, recalling the idea of a garden that awakens. On the Isola dei Pescatori, instead, the lights accompany the sunset, immersing the landscape in the soft hues of twilight, from light blue to the deep blue of the night.
On Saturday 16 November, the journalists discovered the secrets of the Isola dei Pescatori with its history linked to the culture of fishing, the life of the artists who lived there and much more.
